What started as a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park more than a decade ago has become a blueprint for how to run a burger business. And, in our book, few things can top the beauty of a perfectly cooked burger. We have Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group for dreaming up the Shake Shack, a now permanent culinary fixture on the park’s southeast corner. This one is the original, an architectural gem that blends artfully into its urban landscape. The menu is classic Shake Shake, with a few New York City-centric selections like the ShackMeister Ale, brewed exclusively for Shake Shack by Brooklyn Brewery. And, like our hotel, it’s pet friendly. So while you’re savoring a beer and burger with other NoMad hotel guests and New Yorkers, don’t forget your four-legged friend's Pooch-ini (dog biscuits topped with peanut butter sauce and vanilla custard).

Address: Southeast corner of Madison Square Park near Madison Ave. and E.23rd St.
