Rough Trade, Sick Beats

April 03, 2017

One of the great assets of New York that sets it a notch above other cities is its vibrant and ever-expanding arts scene. We especially enjoy keeping up-to-date on the latest and best music in the city, and if you’re like us, you’ll love Rough Trade. Just a short trip from the Hotel Lex, Rough Trade is a prolific indie record store by day and an intimate concert venue by night. The eclectic artwork and handwritten quips from famous musicians that adorn the walls testify to the vibrant but laid-back aesthetic, where you can spend hours perusing and listening to thousands of albums, whether your taste is classic, popular, or obscure. Hopefully you’ll be able to catch one of the many electrifying night-time performances by both renowned and up-and-coming artists. If not, though, you’re just as likely to run into them browsing the vinyl or chatting with the expert in-house staff.
