July 01, 2019

New York City is always a cultural mecca, and summertime is no exception. The month of July is prime for enjoying live entertainment all around the city, whether indoor or outdoor.

If you want a quick fix of quintessentially New York entertainment, head to Bryant Park for Broadway in the Park every Thursday from July 11th through August 15th. This free lunch hour special runs from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. You’ll get to plant down on the lawn to hear some of the most popular on- and off-Broadway hits, and if you arrive early, you can catch the stars rehearsing their tunes.

If you’re looking to elevate your spirits with some truly elegant ear candy, the Mostly Mozart Festival is just for you. This runs from July 10th through August 10th and includes everything from the premiere of The Magic Flute (Mozart’s beloved opera) to dance troupe performances. Some shows are free—visit the festival's website for more information and to purchase tickets in advance.
