A TRIO OF TREES
Long admired for its contemporary art exhibitions, Madison Square Park shines the spotlight on Italian artist Giuseppe Penone, whose thought-provoking trio of sculptural 30-foot tall bronze trees is on view now through early February. Called Ideas of Stone, the exhibit interacts with the park’s landscape to “highlight the relationships amongst man, sculpture and nature,” notes the Conservancy. It’s the parks 27th exhibit of outdoor sculpture and, we think, an especially memorable one. As we move into winter, distinguishing between Penone’s trees and the park’s permanent collection may be a challenge. Our hint? Look for the precariously placed boulders. For More Info Click Here.
