Feed Your Inner Italian
Proving that New York City really does have it all, Eataly is a 50,000-square-foot celebration of all things Italian and culinary. Think of it as a mash-up of Whole Foods and the Food Halls of Harrods layered with a European open-air market vibe. This mammoth spot opened on Fifth Avenue near Madison Square Park in 2010 and has been delighting New Yorkers and visitors ever since. It is owned by partners Mario Batali, Lidia Bastianich and Joe Bastianich so it's got serious street cred. Whether you're picking up a sandwich, sipping espresso (or a brew at the rooftop brewery and beer garden), or settling in for an over-the-top Italian dinner at one of its seven restaurants, you really can't go wrong here. Just bring a big appetite.
